We are all very excited that Troy Players have been accepted to take part in Open Stages which is a project promoted by the RSC to involve amateur dramatic groups throughout the country. This is in conjunction with local professional theatres, and Hall for Cornwall is the theatre involved for the South West. All the groups participating have to perform, at their own venues, a Shakespeare-themed production, which they will then "showcase" at their local professional theatre. They are looking for something a little bit different, so Troy Players have decided to make Wyrd Sisters, which is a take on Macbeth by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Briggs, their contribution. RSC practitioners will then watch these perfomances and they will choose some to go and perform them at the RSC in Stratford towards the end of next year.
First read through is at the Town Hall at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday 16th February
We still need to cast some very small parts, so if anyone is interested could they come along that evening or phone Jules on 01726 812700
